Albert Krautzberger’s idea from 1902 fundamentally simplified work with spray devices. What mattered was not only the patent, but also the focus on practical application.
This perspective still shapes Krautzberger today: technology should make processes safer, more economical and easier to control. That is why engineering, production, the technical centre and service work closely together at the Eltville site.
The timeline connects defining milestones with 26 historic and contemporary portraits, product documents, advertising motifs, workshop photographs and site views. Where no reliable date is available, this is clearly indicated.
On 9 October, Albert Krautzberger files a patent for a “painting device operated by compressed air”. Its ingenious combination of air and material outlets lays the foundation for today’s Krautzberger GmbH.
Just one year later, industrial series production of the first spray devices begins. The invention becomes a technically mature product for professional use.
Production is relocated to Holzhausen near Leipzig. There, Krautzberger grows into an established manufacturer of spray technology and continues producing until the Second World War.
After the expropriation, the family relocates to the Rheingau. With only a small team, the company is rebuilt in Eltville am Rhein and re-establishes itself in the surface technology market.
As requirements grow, individual devices evolve into extensive systems. Booths, rotary tables, material supply and multiple application stations combine to create solutions for repeatable industrial processes.
As part of reprivatisation, Krautzberger GmbH reacquires its original headquarters in Holzhausen near Leipzig. The company has remained family-owned since its foundation.
The innovative steam spray technology receives the international technology award – a clear sign of how Krautzberger consistently advances proven application technology.
At the Eltville am Rhein site, products and system solutions for industrial coating and application processes are developed and manufactured – backed by in-house engineering, production, application technology and service.
Technology is measured by how reliably it improves real processes.
Short communication paths and personal responsibility are integral to the family business.
In-house engineering, precise manufacturing and quality-assured processes form the basis of durable solutions.
